Jundiaí in Three Days: Trains, Gardens and the Flavours of Caxambu
Three full days in Jundiaí with Solar do Barão, the Railway Workers Museum, gardens and Caxambu, plus a restaurant, hotel and rainy-day alternatives.

GETTING STARTED
Set aside Friday for Solar do Barão and the Railway Workers Museum, Saturday for the Botanical Garden and City Park, and Sunday for Adega Maziero, lunch at Família Brunholi and the Wine Museum. An urban base with on-site services and journeys by vehicle helps maintain an unhurried pace. These are three full sightseeing days, excluding arrival and departure for visitors travelling from farther away.
Who it is for: Couples, friends and families who want three full days of Jundiaí's culture, gardens and flavours, with a comfortable base and planned journeys.A comfortable base for three days at your own pace
You can put together three quite different days in Jundiaí: begin with a historic mansion and the story of trains, swap exhibition rooms for gardens, and finish in Caxambu with Italian food and wine traditions. The suggestion here is to follow that sequence from Friday to Sunday, leaving time for lunch, journeys and rest. This itinerary lets you enjoy these themes without rushing. For visitors travelling from farther away, arrival and departure fall outside the three full sightseeing days.
For an urban base with services at the same address, consider ibis Jundiaí Shopping. It makes sense for couples and families who prefer to return to the hotel between an outing and the evening or have a meal there: Accor lists a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Check meal and parking conditions when booking.
Solar do Barão, Espaço Expressa, the parks and Caxambu require planned journeys. Focusing each day on one theme helps avoid unnecessary backtracking; on Sunday, also arrange transport between Adega Maziero and Villa Brunholi, where the restaurant and Wine Museum are located.
- Arriving by road from São Paulo: the official references are Anhanguera, SP-330, and Bandeirantes, SP-348. Plan the route without assuming a fixed journey time.
- Verified base: ibis Jundiaí Shopping, Avenida Nove de Julho, 2921. The official page lists air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a restaurant, bar, children's area and parking.
- Getting around: this itinerary assumes a car or arranged transport between areas. SITU is the official reference for checking buses.
Friday morning: history and a break in Solar do Barão's garden
Begin Friday at 10:00 at Solar do Barão, Rua Barão de Jundiaí, 762, in the Centre. The mansion has features of an urban residence from the coffee era and combines exhibition rooms with a tree-filled garden. The appeal of this first stop lies in that combination: you encounter local history and can then slow down among the plants, sit and rest.
For trips up to 29 October 2026, include the Jundiahy Colonial e Imperial exhibition, announced for 7 April to 29 October 2026. It gives the history-focused morning a specific subject and is confirmed for travellers following the itinerary from 16 to 18 October 2026. After that period, check the museum's programme.
Published opening hours are Tuesday–Friday, 10:00–17:00, and Saturday, 10:00–14:00, with extensions on certain Saturdays. In the suggested sequence, spend the morning at Solar, take a lunch break and only then continue to the Railway Workers Museum. This leaves time for both the rooms and the garden.

In the afternoon, go to the Railway Workers Museum at Avenida União dos Ferroviários, 1760, within Espaço Expressa. After the mansion associated with the coffee era, this change of scene takes you to railway documents, photographs and objects. Ticket machines, replicas and a scale model offer specific things to observe, including for visitors usually more interested in objects than lengthy texts.
Admission is free, and published Friday hours run from 10:00 to 17:00. Allow for the journey from the Centre as well, so that you do not arrive near closing. The archive photograph accompanying this section records an earlier phase of the railway complex.
After the visit, the suggestion is to return to your base and rest. If you choose ibis Jundiaí Shopping, its restaurant is a dinner option listed on the official page. Check service hours, especially if you want to fit in the Polytheama concert.

A historic record of the railway complex before the site's revitalisation; the museum visit explores Jundiaí's relationship with the tracks more deeply.

If your trip is from 16 to 18 October 2026, there is a good reason to reserve Friday evening: the Osesp Choir performs Coro Itinerante 2026 on 16 October 2026, from 20:00 to 21:00, at Teatro Polytheama. The address is Rua Barão de Jundiaí, 176, in the Centre. The music extends the cultural day that began at Solar and continued through railway heritage.
The concert is suitable for all ages, and admission is free once you obtain a ticket through the process indicated on the official page. Check availability before planning the evening around it. Allow time after the museum to rest, eat and travel to the theatre.
The municipal events calendar was consulted on 12 October 2026 and listed this event, which fits the itinerary. For other dates, use the same calendar to check the relevant programme; this concert is specifically for the evening of 16 October 2026.
Saturday morning: themed gardens to explore slowly
On Saturday, start at the Botanical Garden. Japanese, African and Italian themed gardens, labelled plants and the orchid house offer varied things to see in a single place. Begin in the Japanese garden and continue to the African and Italian gardens, noticing differences between the plants. Leave time for breaks and any details that catch your attention.
The garden’s own website lists daily opening from 7:00 to 17:00, with entrances at Avenida Navarro de Andrade, 120, and Avenida Antonio Frederico Ozanan, 6700. Because official pages disagree about opening times, these are the hours used here. Groups of ten or more participants and anyone wanting a guided visit must book; walking independently does not include an educator’s guidance.
After the morning in the Botanical Garden, allow a food break before continuing to City Park. Paths and cycleways connect them, but the published distance is 4.3 km. To keep the pace relaxed, the main suggestion is to make this transfer by vehicle and save your walking for inside the park.

Leave the afternoon for City Park. Begin with a walk and include the Japanese Garden; with children, the playgrounds may take up a larger part of the visit. After a morning among plants, the park keeps the day outdoors and makes room for playing or cycling.
The official page lists an internal circuit of 2,760 metres and Peama bicycle hire at weekends from 9:00 to 16:00. If you prefer cycling, check service when you arrive; bicycle availability is not guaranteed. You can also walk part of the circuit without having to complete it.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, published closing time is 18:00, but the gates close one hour earlier. Plan your arrival to enjoy the afternoon without relying on last entry. The panoramic image accompanying the outing is an archive photograph.

This archive view of City Park accompanies the second half of Saturday, set aside for walking and breaks.

If it rains on Saturday morning, Pinacoteca Diógenes Duarte Paes provides a specific substitute for the Botanical Garden. It is at Rua Barão de Jundiaí, 109, in the Centre, has free admission and lists Saturday opening from 10:00 to 14:00. Its collection includes artists such as Diógenes Duarte Paes, Inos Corradin and Cláudio Tozzi; confirm what will be on display on your visit date.
If the forecast already indicates persistent rain on Saturday and better weather on Friday, the suggestion is to swap the days: visit the Botanical Garden and City Park on Friday and leave museums for Saturday. In this arrangement, visit Solar in the morning before 14:00 and the Railway Workers Museum in the afternoon before 16:00. The art gallery can replace Solar if the group prefers art. This preserves the main outings without trying to fit three cultural venues into one morning.
Sunday begins at Adega Maziero, before lunch
Sunday changes the subject and takes you to Caxambu. Start at Adega Maziero, Avenida Maria Negrini Negro, 2051. The family's production, sold commercially since 1954, provides a specific reference for the wine tradition featured in this part of the trip.
The municipal page lists parking and Sunday and public holiday opening from 8:00 to 15:00. The suggestion is therefore to visit before lunch and then continue to Villa Brunholi. This order avoids leaving Maziero until late afternoon, when its published opening hours have already ended.
The stop does not include a production tour or a scheduled tasting: these activities are not confirmed by the source consulted. If they are essential to you, contact the business beforehand. After Maziero, Sunday continues with Italian lunch at Família Brunholi and a visit to the Wine Museum.
Italian lunch and history inside a barrel at Villa Brunholi
After Maziero, continue to Avenida Humberto Cereser, 5900. The suggested lunch stop is Família Brunholi Restaurante at Villa Brunholi: the business's current page presents Italian cuisine and handmade pasta produced on site, with à la carte service on weekends and public holidays. The stop fits Sunday's theme and leaves the next visit at the same address.
The restaurant lists parking, children's facilities and an adapted bathroom. Check service hours and whether reservations are needed, especially for a group. Pasta made on site is one reason to choose this stop; check the menu available during your visit.
After lunch, visit the Wine Museum. It occupies a wooden barrel with an original capacity of 110,000 litres and brings together photographs, household and winemaking utensils, and panels about Italian immigration. The barrel itself offers a different sense of scale, while the objects help connect wine with the lives of local families.
The museum's published hours are Tuesday–Sunday, 9:00–17:30. End the outing after the visit, leaving time to look at the objects without rushing after lunch. To reduce journeys, make Sunday a shorter visit solely at Villa Brunholi: the Wine Museum in the morning and lunch at Família Brunholi to finish.
From the itinerary to packing and budgeting
Once you have chosen the sequence, pack for the outings you have planned. In Mala Inteligente, select the total trip duration, traveller profiles and expected climate conditions. Review the checklist with park walks, museum visits and, if included, the theatre evening in mind. Adjust the climate selection to the forecast checked shortly before departure; the tool does not provide weather forecasts.
In the Travel Cost Calculator, enter Jundiaí, the number of people, days and travel style to generate an illustrative estimate in Brazilian reais. Include arrival and departure when those days generate expenses. The tool uses reference figures for accommodation, food and transport and a 15% margin; compare the result with prices you actually research for the hotel, meals and journeys.
To complement planning, Viajandar's Jundiaí page brings together municipal information and access to local service categories, including food and accommodation. It can help you look for a meal during the first two days, while Sunday already has the suggested Família Brunholi stop.
Which option suits you?
| Option | A good fit if… | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| A base at ibis Jundiaí Shopping | Travellers who want hotel services and are happy to use a vehicle for outings. | Accor lists a restaurant and parking, but the location does not remove the journeys to parks and Caxambu. Check what the reservation includes. |
| Car or arranged transport between areas | Travellers who prefer to save their energy for gardens and attractions. | It requires including transport in the budget and arranging routes, particularly between Adega Maziero and Villa Brunholi on Sunday. |
| Walk between the Botanical Garden and City Park | Travellers who enjoy walking and want the transfer to form part of the outing. | The park’s page lists 4.3 km between the two sites, in addition to the walking you do inside each attraction. It is not a short walk from one gate to another. |
| Transfer by vehicle from the Botanical Garden to City Park | Travellers who want to see both green spaces with less walking. | It adds a motorised journey, but leaves you with more energy for a walk of your choice inside the park. |
| Osesp Choir concert at Teatro Polytheama | Visitors travelling from 16 to 18 October 2026 who want culture on Friday evening too. | The concert is confirmed for 16 October 2026 at 20:00, with free admission after obtaining a ticket. A confirmed programme does not guarantee remaining tickets. |

Questions to help you decide
How should three unhurried days in Jundiaí be arranged?
We suggest dividing the three days between history on Friday, gardens on Saturday and Caxambu on Sunday. This lets you enjoy these themes at leisure, without trying to see all of the city. For visitors travelling from farther away, arrival and departure fall outside the three full sightseeing days.
Do I need a car to follow this itinerary?
You can travel without your own car, but this itinerary assumes a car or arranged transport between areas. The municipal SITU system provides official bus information; direct routes and frequencies for each attraction were not verified. Check each journey before deciding to rely on buses.
Can I walk from the Botanical Garden to City Park?
Paths and cycleways connect them, and City Park's page lists 4.3 km for the route between the spaces. Add that distance to walking inside each attraction. For an easier Saturday, the suggestion is to transfer by vehicle.
What can I do if it rains on Saturday?
Pinacoteca Diógenes Duarte Paes is an indoor alternative in the Centre, listing Saturday opening from 10:00 to 14:00. If Friday's forecast is better, you can bring the parks forward and leave Solar do Barão and the Railway Workers Museum for Saturday, respecting each venue's hours.
Where can I have an Italian lunch in Caxambu?
Família Brunholi Restaurante at Avenida Humberto Cereser, 5900, lists Italian cuisine, handmade pasta produced on site and à la carte weekend service. The suggestion is to have lunch there after Adega Maziero and visit the Wine Museum in the same complex. Check service and whether reservations are needed.
Does the Adega Maziero stop include a tasting?
The itinerary does not include a scheduled tasting or production visit, because these activities are not confirmed by the sources consulted. The sequence is a stop at Adega Maziero, lunch at Família Brunholi and a Wine Museum visit. If a tasting is essential to you, contact Maziero before travelling.
Which hotel suits this trip?
One verified option is ibis Jundiaí Shopping at Avenida Nove de Julho, 2921, with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a restaurant and parking listed on its official page. It serves as an urban base for the three days; check the room configuration and meal and parking conditions when booking.
